| EDF dam of Serre-Ponçon, House of energies Dug in the heart of the rock,the hydroelectric plant of Serre-Ponçon has progressively been producing electricity since 1960. Under the vigie-pirate anti-terrorist plan since september the 11th 2001, visits of the hydroelectric plant and the Serre-Ponçon dam are still suspended. The house of energies located near the foot of the dam is a educational area which allows to discover how the hydroelectric plant and the dam work . Come here to discover, accompanied by a guide, a new modern interactive scenography ,which presents the biggest dam in Europe, the EDF Group, the production of electricity, the hydraulic production and the touristic offer of the area.
